The Fastest in the Galaxy

The Almirola family are simple mechanics trying to eke out a living on the dusty planet of Mon Gazza in the Outer Rim. In order to supplement their income (and their desires as latent adrenaline junkies), the older children participate in now-illegal pod-races. The Almirolas are content to remain on the sidelines but are forced into conflict when their oldest-living son is arrested by the Empire. Unlike most protagonists we’ve met thus far in the Star Wars canon, the Almirolas are not warriors, but they quickly learn there are other ways to fight the Empire than direct combat.

The Fastest in the Galaxy is a half-hour drama from the world of STAR WARS about a family of mechanics turned racers and smugglers planting the seeds of the Rebel Alliance in the early days of the First Galactic Empire.

Just as The Skywalker Saga and The Mandalorian cite adventure serials of the 1930’s and westerns of the 1960’s as inspiration, Star Wars: The Fastest in the Galaxy looks to racing movies from classics like Bullit to modern epics like The Fast and Furious Saga. Every episode will be action-packed with hairpin turns, both in the script and on the track, as our heroes push the limits of just how fast is possible.
